Design and Patterning

Weta’s skilled team of designers and chainmaille experts can create and pattern up any style of garment you require from historically accurate to more fantasy based garments. Our previous work has allowed us to create everything from unique, one-off garments for lead characters, through to entire armies worth of chainmaille. On ‘The Lord of the Rings’ and ‘The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe’ we designed subtly different styles of chainmaille garments for the various different races.

Steel Chainmaille

Weta Tenzan Chainmaille will stand up to most of the rigours of a film set and is suitable for normal acting and light stunt work. However, for specialist needs and for high impact stunt work and re-enactment purposes, Weta Tenzan makes steel chainmaille to the same standards as
our lightweight product.
