Pretty brass buttons fly from the waistcoat of Bilbo Baggins when he must squeeze through a crack to escape the clutches of Gollum.

But as Bilbo will prove to his doubting Dwarf companions, there is much more to this Hobbit than buttons and pocket-handkerchiefs.

Bilbo’s Brass Button is an exquisite replica of the original acorn buttons created by the 3Foot7 Costume Department for actor Martin Freeman’s costume.

Each button is manufactured in Wellington, New Zealand - spincast from 99% pure zinc and electroplated in an antique brass finish and then buffed and lacquered.

The button diameter is 0.8 in (20mm) and features a shank on the back (see image 3) for easy attachment to your waistcoat. Just make sure to fasten each button meticulously to avoid losing them all when squeezing through tight spots...

Also available as a set of 5 buttons - saving you US$10!

Each button comes mounted on a backing card inside a zip-loc bag.

When you have created something with your buttons, please take some photos and share on our Facebook page!

PLEASE NOTE: We do not recommend machine washing or dry cleaning the buttons. We have included a small split ring to allow the buttons to be made easily removable from your garment.

You can order up to 10 pins or other small items for one low shipping price:

I received this button order very timely. I just love the detail and knowing that it is a duplicate of Bilbo's buttons on his vest that he lost on his adventure. Weta even gives instruction on how to care for and apply the button the best way. I can't wait to find the perfect clothing item to attach my special button to. Hide.
