A Hobbit Reunion

As most here at Weta are aware, it's ten years since four hobbits set off from the Shire on an epic quest that spanned Middle-earth.

And now that The Hobbit movies are under-way here in Wellington, offering moviegoers a return to Middle-earth next year, perhaps it becomes extra clear that a decade has passed. But WHAT a decade!

The crew at Weta may be displaying a few more grey hairs and the occasional wrinkle that perhaps wasn't there in 2001, but the passion for Tolkien's stories is as alive today as it was then.

To take you back ten years, Empire Magazine have an exclusive video featuring a reunion between the four hobbits from The Lord of the Rings: Elijah Wood (Frodo), Sean Astin (Samwise Gamgee), Billy Boyd (Pippin) and Dominic Monaghan (Merry).
